In Memory of David Gibbs

“The Gibbs Cup – First Inaugural Tournament”

David Gibbs was a man defined by hard work, humility, and heart. A skilled plumber by trade, Dave wasn’t just known for fixing pipes—he was known for fixing lives. Always the first to lend a hand, he lived by a simple code: help your fellow man, “We get to.”

Whether it was a word of wisdom or a good laugh, Dave had a way of making people feel seen and supported. His presence lit up a room, and his guidance, especially within our AA program, changed the course of many lives. A mentor, a friend, and a quiet force of good—Dave gave freely of his time, his wisdom, and his heart.

This tournament, The Gibbs Cup, is our way of honoring that spirit. The winner receives the Pipe Wrench Trophy, a nod to his trade, and the last place… well, Dave would’ve loved the humor in awarding the Toilet Bowl as a reminder to not take yourself so seriously.

Here’s to Dave—may his legacy live on in laughter, friendship, and the swing of every club.
